SHMUiE was founded in 2021 out of a South Carolina motel during the Colonial Pipeline gas shortage.

What began as an accidental DIY up-cycling project quickly evolved into a movement and then grew into a brand. After dropping capsule collections, SHMUiE debuted its first official runway collection, "SEASONLESS," during NYFW 25'.

Operating between New York and Tokyo, SHMUiE is known for its community-driven pop-ups, underground-themed campaigns, and limited-run creations.
